WHEN SHOULD I REMOVE AN PERSON FROM A HAZARD?
It is important that you do not put yourself or others in danger. If in doubt, call 000.
WHEN DO I SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION?
In any circumstance where a person is injured, you are to seek medical attention. When in doubt, call 000 and/or talk to your manager.
WHO IS TO MONITOR THE WELL-BEING OF EMPLOYEES?
In the initial hours/days, management and HSE monitor the progress of employees who are injured.
The Injury Management team monitor the employee’s well-being in regards to their return to work and long-term recovery.
WHO IS TO BE NOTIFIED ABOUT THE EMPLOYEE WELFARE?
Depending on the nature of the injury, the following parties could be notified:
their manager, Injury Management, Human Resources as well as their next of kin.
WHAT MUST BE DONE TO PREPARE AN EMPLOYEE FOR RETURNING TO WORK?
The Injury Management team assists with return to work arrangements.
This involves the engagement of all relevant parties in achieving a sustainable return to work after a workplace
injury in accordance with work capacity and medical recommendations.
